Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and name (or social login information if you sign in via a third-party provider). Account management is handled by Clerk, Inc.

Location Data

To generate routes, you provide starting locations and destinations. This data is used solely to generate your requested route and is not permanently stored on our servers beyond the scope of your session. Location queries are processed by OpenRouteService and OpenStreetMap (Nominatim).

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, Inc. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card numbers or full payment details. We receive only a subscription status confirmation and a Stripe customer ID.

Usage Data

We may collect anonymized usage data such as pages visited, features used, and error logs to improve the Service. This may include your IP address, browser type, and operating system.

Route History

For paid subscribers, generated routes may be saved to your account so you can revisit them. You can delete your route history at any time from your account settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the Service
  • To process payments and manage your subscription
  • To communicate with you about your account, billing, or service updates
  • To enforce our Terms of Service
  • To improve and develop the Service

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your location data for advertising purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate GetLostMoto:

  • Clerk (clerk.com) — Authentication and account management. Your email and profile data are stored with Clerk under their Privacy Policy.
  • Stripe (stripe.com) — Payment processing and subscription management. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • OpenRouteService (openrouteservice.org) — Route generation. Location queries are sent to their API per their Privacy Policy.
  • OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — Map tiles and geocoding (converting addresses to coordinates). Subject to the OSMF Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel (vercel.com) — Hosting and infrastructure.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and authentication state. These are essential for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law (e.g., financial records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax compliance).

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request correction of inaccurate data
